Tips on Cutting a cake

When cutting a cake fill a tall container or jug with  hot water. 
Dip the knife in the water to allow it to warm.
Remove the knife from the water and wipe with kitchen paper,
Make a cut in the cake and wipe the knife with kitchen paper
Repeat
